Golden Valley Holding Elections for Two City Council Seats
Golden Valley holds odd-year municipal elections, and this fall is no exception.
“This year we have two city council seats on the ballot, in addition to some school board seats as well,” said Deputy City Clerk Melissa Croft.

Early voting in the Golden Valley municipal elections begins on Sept. 19 at city hall.
Croft said the filing period for candidates who may want to run for the open seats is July 29 through August 12.
“Candidates can feel free to come by city hall,” Croft said. “We do have additional information on our city website as well.”
Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, and early voting will begin on September 19 at Golden Valley City Hall, said Croft.
“Municipal elections are really important to our day-to-day lives,” she said. “These races determine stuff that will be happening in your neighborhoods and communities.”
She also said the city is always looking for more election judges. Anyone who is interested can find out more on the city’s website.
