Golden Valley Announces Its Annual MLK Contest
The Golden Valley Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion Commission once again is holding its annual Doctor Martin Luther King Human Rights Contest.
The aim is to celebrate the work and legacy of Doctor King.
Any student kindergarten through 12th Grade can participate, by submitting something that embodies and symbolizes King’s striving for inclusion, equality, and justice.
Entrants should choose one of the following quotes from Dr. King upon which to base their entries:
Entries can be artwork, essays, poetry, videos, songs, or raps.
Audio or video entries can be submitted via Youtube.
The contest is open to students in Golden Valley, attend a school in Golden Valley, or attend a Robbinsdale Area or Hopkins District School.
The deadline Is Wednesday, December 15.
Winners will be notified by December 22.
