‘Frozen Characters’ Coming to Brooklyn Center’s ‘Snow Many Traditions’
Brooklyn Center is putting the finishing touches on its upcoming annual get together, Snow Many Traditions.
The majority of the event will take place indoors at the community center, and is expected to draw several hundred visitors.
Devonte Brewer, Brooklyn Center Recreation Coordinator, believes people are excited about the opportunity to come together under one roof again.
“Being around your community and back in the same space with everyone else, learning from different cultures, that’s the thing people talk about,” stated Brewer.
Guests can browse displays of festive artwork painted by Brooklyn Center residents, who were asked to illustrate a depiction of their favorite holiday tradition. Artists have until November 30th to submit paintings for display. The city will even supply the canvas, brushes, paints and space to create the artwork if needed.
Visitors to the event can take a picture with Santa, watch a magic show, and decorate their own cookie and ornament.
“Frozen” Sisters Will Perform
There will also be a live performance and interactive sing-along from The Enchanted Sisters, an acting duo who perform as Elsa and Anna from “Frozen.” Guests will be able to get their photos taken with the look-alike sister act.
Brewer said his goal was to make the event appealing to young and old alike.
“If you like Christmas, if you like the holiday season and everything it stands for, please come,” said Brewer.
Snow Many Traditions will take place at the Brooklyn Center Recreation Center on Saturday, December 3rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
