Free Meals in Brooklyn Center
Brooklyn Center’s Rec on the Go usually provides fun activities and free meals for kids in several of the city’s parks. Unfortunately, the program can’t currently offer in-person recreation but it can still provide the food. Monday through Thursday the Rec on the Go bus visits eight locations in the city (Centennial Park, Kylawn Park, Willow Lane Park, Firehouse Park, Northport Park, Twin Lake North Apartments, Twin Lakes Park and Bellvue Park) to drop off meals for kids. Each child gets two breakfasts and two lunches per drop day and they drop off twice a week at each location.
