Enjoy the Outdoors at Sochacki Park
The Cities of Robbinsdale and Golden Valley have partnered with the Three Rivers Park District to bring fun and interesting programming like survival classes, snowshoeing, and night hikes to Sochacki Park, but according to Three Rivers Park District’s Interpretive Naturalist Anders Hanson, it’s also a great place to just get out and spend some time, saying, “For a small park Sochacki kinda offers a great variety of habitats. There’s wetlands and ponds, a lot of the trails are through wooded areas, and there’s even a restored prairie that is a really pretty spot to visit as well. It’s really popular with dog walkers, and folks that live in the area that just wanna get out, and kind of a corridor that connects to Theodore Wirth just to the south of us here.” Hanson goes on to say that the park has a variety of trails including a paved one, as well as some for the more adventurous, adding, “There’s a little elevation, but most of that elevation is small, kind of punchy, ups and downs on this natural trail that will feel more a little more rigorous if you’re in for a more of an adventurous walk, but if you’re looking for a leisurely stroll where you can walk side by side with a friend, or push a stroller there’s the paved trail right over here.” For more information about Sochacki Park and all that it has to offer go to ThreeRiversParks.org.
