Crystal Gearing Up For New Summer Activities
The City of Crystal opens registration for its spring and summer parks and recreation activities on Monday, March 2, as the city gets ready for a busy summer with traditional–and new–events and fun for the whole family.
“We have a loaded, packed summer here in Crystal,” said Recreation Supervisor Stacy Chouinard.
In addition to sports, rec activities, and the traditional season at Crystal Cove Aquatic Center, the farmer’s market will be back at the Crystal Community Center on Tuesdays, June 16 – Sept. 29, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
“We’re trying to get some new crafts, food, food trucks,” said Chouinard. “We have the Egg Roll Queens committed for the season here. So put Tuesdays on your calendar for dinner at the farmer’s market!”
New this year will be an event that takes the Becker Park portion of Frolics and moves it to earlier in the summer as a Kick-Off To Summer event.
It will take place on Saturday, June 13 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The rest of the Frolics events–including the softball tournament– will center around Welcome Park from June 24 to 26.
