City of Robbinsdale Unveils New Website
Robbinsdale is leveling up its digital footprint.
The city launched a new, state-of-the-art website that improves how everyone accesses important information.
“We are very excited to finally have it updated,” said Communications Coordinator Rachel Leen.
Since April, Leen has been hard at work to get the new and improved site up and running.
Like before, the new website features important information for residents on everything from how to pay a utility bill to upcoming city council meetings, but now that information will be easier to find.
“A big goal of our new site is just to help residents with navigation and a big part of that is just having information on the homepage,” said Leen. “So people don’t have to be clicking all over the website to find really important information.”
News items, social media links, and the calendar are easily found on the homepage.
Another goal of the new site is to increase accessibility.
There’s a chatbot, where web users can type their questions and receive an answer.
People can also have the website translated into different languages like Somali, Hmong, and Spanish.
And if a user needs the text size or screen contrast changed, the website can adjust.
Leen said a lot of the changes come after listening to feedback on the old site.
She hopes the improvements serve everyone in the community well.
“We really hope the website can be a one-stop shop for everything they need, ” she said.
And one last change for the public to be aware of: instead of robbinsdalemn.com the website’s address is now robbinsdalemn.gov.
