Cities Partner For Youth Blacklight Dodgeball Event
The cities of Crystal, New Hope, Golden Valley and Robbinsdale have partnered up to put a fun spin on a classic game.
A youth blacklight dodgeball tournament will be played with black lights and glow-in-the-dark balls inside the gym at the Davis Community Center.
“We are taking ages seven to ten and putting them into a dark gym, so we want to make sure we’re providing the safest atmosphere we can,” said John Stutzman, Recreation Supervisor, Golden Valley.
Parents who volunteer at the event will get the cost of their child’s ticket refunded. Parents can also take advantage of some free time and drop their child off.
Kids will be served pizza and drinks while DJ KidsDance provides the music.
“We’ll have a variety of games,” stated Aaron Thelen, Recreation Supervisor, New Hope. “Ages against different ages, grade levels against different grade levels, and staff and volunteers against the kids.”
