Changes for Mississippi River Paddle Share
It’s one thing this summer that hasn’t been canceled. Mississippi River Paddle Share is a great way to kayak the Mississippi River, while naturally social distancing, but they have had to add some COVID protocols. Each kayak, life jacket, and paddle is sanitized between customers, and all of the equipment rests for 36 hours as well.
They’ve also added a new, 3 hour long route that goes from River Park in Brooklyn Park to Boom Island Park in downtown Minneapolis. Visit www.paddleshare.org to rent a kayak online, then go to a station on the river to get it from a locker, paddle down the river, and return it at your destination.
