Brooklyn Park’s Zanewood Recreation Center to Host Anti-Violence Game Night
The City of Brooklyn Park will host an event near the end of March that intends to connect families with resources the city has in place to help young people find activities they may be interested in and help them resolve conflicts.
Zanewood Recreation Center will host its Third Annual Anti-Violence Game Night on Friday, March 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone is welcome to come and enjoy board games, card games, video games, food, and a chance to win raffle prizes.
“It’s about building a community, and letting them know there’s a safe place to go and enjoy each other’s company,” said City of Brooklyn Park Prevention and Intervention Specialist Kelvin Currington. “We have a lot of programs here, outside of game night, from young men’s group, young ladies’ group, chess clubs, cricket classes, sewing classes–you name it, we got it.”
