Brooklyn Park’s Sixth Annual Restaurant Week Returns September 23-29
Brooklyn Park’s sixth annual Restaurant Week is September 23-29, and this year it features more than a dozen local restaurants, including the newly-opened Upin Hot Pot on Brooklyn Boulevard.
More than a dozen Brooklyn Park restaurants, including the newly-opened Upin Hot Pot, are featured in Restaurant Week September 23-29.
“We have about thirty-or forty percent of the new customers, it’s their first time trying the hot pot,” said owner Shan Lin. “They love it.”
The tables are all outfitted with cookers that feature broth and oil and customers can cook their own seafood, vegetables, and other proteins in them. The restaurant also offers sushi and other Asian-influenced treats, like bubble tea.
“Brooklyn Park has over 100 restaurants, and they’re primarily BIPOC-owned,” said Josephine Thao with the City of Brooklyn Park’s economic development department. “We know a lot of the restaurants reflect the diverse cuisines of our community.”
Upin Hot Pot is one of the restaurants featured on the Restaurant Week Bingo Card.
“It’s a fun, interactive way to get our community to visit one restaurant at a time,” said Thao. “You do have to visit a minimum of three, however we do have over a dozen restaurants.”
Winners selected could win a restaurant gift card.
“One of our goals in Brooklyn Park is a thriving economy,” said Thao. “This is a marketing initiative to encourage our community to support its local businesses.”
