Brooklyn Park’s National Night Out is Tuesday, August 6
National Night Out is back for its 41st year in Brooklyn Park. This year the celebration is Tuesday, August 6.
“We’re really excited to get out into lots of neighborhoods in our community,” said Brooklyn Park Police Department Crime Prevention Specialist Kim Czapar. “We really encourage neighbors to get out and get to know one another that night because building connections with one another really helps build a safer community.”
Czapar said families can register their parties with the city by July 26. That way, public safety officials can make time to stop by and mingle with residents.
“National Night Out really gives us a chance to get to know folks in the community for not an emergency situation, so it’s a good chance to ask those questions you might have and learn a little more about your local police department,” she said.
