Brooklyn Park Mayor Says Rail Colocation Bill Aims to Quash Light Rail Extension Line
A Republican bill introduced this week in the legislature aims to prohibit the construction of a light rail transit line in a shared use rail corridor for freight rail. Part of the proposed light rail METRO Blue Line Extension running from Minneapolis through the northern suburbs to Brooklyn Park runs parallel to the BNSF Railroad.
