Absentee Voting for Primary Election Open in Crystal
Absentee voting ahead of the Tuesday, August 13 primaries has begun across Minnesota.
In Crystal, absentee voting is available at city hall from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 Monday-Friday, and will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 and from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12.
The precincts for voting on primary election day are as follows:
- Crystal City Hall (Ward 1, Precinct 1)
- FAIR School (Ward 2, Precincts 1 & 2)
- Crystal Community Center (Ward 3, Precinct 1)
- Cornerstone Church (Ward 4, Precinct 1)
“A common question is: ‘Where do I vote?'” said Crystal City Clerk Chrissy Serres. “‘What’s on my ballot?’ That’s available on our website and the Secretary of State’s office (website). As far as absentee voting…an application is required, and if you need to register or re-register due to a name change or an address change, you’ll need the proper proofs of residence for that.”
All of that can be done the same time and place that you submit your absentee ballot, Serres said.
The races on the primary ballot in Crystal are statewide races and the Congressional Fifth District race.
