What are your qualifications for this office?
I have been a homeowner and resident of New Hope since 1969. I am married to Juanita and we have 2 sons, Dan and Jason. I was a teacher in R’dale District 281 for 41 years where I taught Government and Economics. I still substitute at Armstrong and Cooper High Schools. I have been a member of the New Hope City Council, Northwest Community Television Board, Dist. 281 Superintendent’s Advisory Council, and am an Army Veteran. . All of these experiences have helped prepare me to serve.
What do you hope to accomplish in office?
I believe in a common sense approach to government. I have worked hard to keep our taxes as low as possible. Finding innovative ways to fund necessary projects is imperative. Finding solutions to the issues New Hope has faced over the years has taken joint efforts, compromise and hard work. I have enjoyed being your advocate on the city council. I am committed to working with you to find solutions to our future problems.
