In Golden Valley, voters will cast their ballots for two council members in the 2023 election. Three candidates — Sophia Ginis, Maurice Harris and Jean Kidd — will be on the ballot.

Golden Valley Sales Tax Referendum – ALL QUESTIONS APPROVED
Voters in Golden Valley will consider three ballot questions tied to a 1.25 percent local sales tax referendum on Nov. 7. Question one requests to use the 1.25 percent sales tax to generate up to $15 million to acquire land outside downtown Golden Valley that would serve as the location for a new Golden Valley Public Works building. Question two requests to use the same sales tax to provide $45 million to build the new public works building. Questions three requests to use $45 million to build a new police and fire headquarters building on the current site of the Public Works building.
