Providence Academy Girls Soccer Off to Fast Start Again

The two-time defending state Class A champion Providence Academy girls soccer team is off and running again so far. The Lions have won their first four matches this season.

Providence lost two all-state players to graduation—forward Maddyn Greenway and defender Ceci Carron.

But there is still good talent on the roster. Sophomore forward Beckett Greenway has netted six goals so far this fall while senior goalie Audrey Steeves has posted three shutouts.

The Lions host Blake (4-1) Tuesday evening, a team they lost to twice last season. The Bears were state runner-up in Class AA last year.
