New Cooper Hall of Fame Class Honored
The Cooper High School Hall of Fame added five new members Thursday in a ceremony in the school’s media center.
Inductees include football standouts Malik Rucker, who went on to play at Iowa and Western Michigan, and Ryan Collins, a Division III All-American at St. Thomas who played in the NFL; and adapted athletics standout Andy Dubisar, who was on 15 state championship teams in the Robins PI division program.
Hall of Famers receiving distinguished service awards were Dan Terhaar, a member of the Hawks state championship boys soccer team in 1978 who is mostly noted for a 40-year sports broadcasting career in the Twin Cities; and Heidi Tabor Myers, active in alumni affairs and the organizer of the school’s acclaimed 50th reunion celebration.
The new inductees will also be celebrated at halftime of Cooper’s homecoming football game Friday night.
