MapleBrook Edges Park Valley in 15U Girls USA Cup Soccer
The MapleBrook 15U girls defeated Park Valley 3-2 in pool play Wednesday at the USA Cup youth soccer tournament in Blaine.
Because of the heat and this afternoon the poor air quality, this match- and all others- were shortened, with water breaks taken in each half.
Layna Schuler scored twice for MapleBrook with Piper Johnson scoring the game-winner in the match’s final seconds.
Hannah Anderson and Jada Johnson scored for Park Valley.
** Thursday Update: Because of poor air quality all matches at USA Cup for Thursday have been canceled and will be recorded as 0-0 ties. Playoff rounds are still scheduled for Friday and Saturday.**
