Maple Grove Legion Baseball Rallies for Win over Anoka
Damian Seubert drove in four runs to help lead Maple Grove American Legion Post 172 to an 8-5 win over Anoka in the quarterfinal round of the Substate 10 Legion baseball playoffs.
Anoka led 5-2 after three innings but Maple Grove came back with two runs in the fifth and four in the sixth to win.
Evan O’Dwyer pitched the first six innings to get the win with Ian Farley throwing a 1-2-3 seventh inning to close out Anoka.
Maple Grove now plays either Cambridge or top-seeded Buffalo Friday at noon in one of the winner’s bracket semifinals at Gleason Fields in Maple Grove.
