Lakeville North Edges Champlin Park in Girls Volleyball Season Opener
The Champlin Park girls volleyball team lost its season opener Thursday in a close five-set match to Lakeville North.
The teams traded set wins all night with the Panthers rallying in the fifth set to win 25-22, 18-25, 25-19, 24-26, 15-13.
The Panthers are coached by former long-time Champlin Park head coach John Yunker, who took over the Lakeville North program before last season.
The Rebels host Roseville in their next match on Wednesday.
