CCX Sports Spotlight: Ashley Mouyenga, Wayzata Girls Diving
In this week’s CCX Sports Spotlight, Chaz Mootz profiles Wayzata senior diver Ashley Mouyenga.
In each of her five seasons on the Trojan girls diving team, Mouyenga has been a state meet participant and last year she won first overall at the Class AA state meet.
Ashley has a gymnastics background and was introduced to diving in seventh grade. Once she got to tenth grade, she decided to direct her focus to diving only.
Already this fall, Mouyenga broke the Maple Grove 14-year pool diving record by scoring a 319.10.
Next year, Ashley will dive at the University of North Carolina.
