Ares Amani’s two second half goals helped the Wayzata boys soccer team erase a 1-0 deficit and come back to take down Edina, 2-1.

The Hornets and Trojans came into the match both undefeated and ranked first and second in the state in Class AAA.

Desmond Quigley gave Edina the early lead in the 12th minute on a rebound goal.

Amani’s goals came within three minutes of each other in the 59th and 62nd minutes of the match.

Senior goalie Lucas Woodrum came up with some big stops in the final minutes.
