What To Expect at This Year’s Brooklyn Park Tater Daze Festival
The annual celebration of Brooklyn Park’s potato farming heritage takes place on Saturday.
The 2025 Tater Daze Parade and Community Gathering is the first of the northwest suburban festivals happening this summer.
The event begins with the parade at 10 a.m. The route starts at 101st Avenue N, proceeds onto Regent Avenue and ends at Oak Grove Parkway.
The parade will have nearly 70 participants. CCX News has learned that the beloved children’s television character, Bluey, also plans to appear at the parade.
Parking is available at St. Gerard Church.

Following the parade, the action shifts to the Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center.
“It’s going to be happening down on the lawn,” said Stephen Batcher, Brooklyn Park’s social media marketing specialist. “We’ve got free inflatables, we’ve got live music, the Northwest Food Truck Festival, so tons of activities.”
That event goes from noon to 4 p.m and will feature music from the TKO Drum Line, A Hard Day’s Night (Beatles Tribute Band), Away Runakuna (Ecuadorian Dance Group) and Belladiva (Funk/Soul Cover Band).
“It’s a great opportunity to have a mix of a bunch of different activities for adults, kids, all are welcome here,” said Batcher.
