UPDATE: Offer Accepted for Robbinsdale Home of Blue Ribbon Baker Marjorie Johnson
This story was updated on Sept. 10 from original version to include information that an offer has been accepted.
The Robbinsdale home where popular Blue Ribbon baker Marjorie Johnson lived for decades has hit the market.
Now, CCX News has learned an offer has been accepted pending an inspection, according to Jeanne LeVasseur, realtor with Keller Williams Realty Integrity. The pending sale comes about two weeks after the home was initially listed
Johnson died last fall at the age of 106.
The 5,000-square-foot home, custom built in 1968, overlooks Crystal Lake and includes an indoor pool. The home is where Johnson perfected her award-winning baking recipes.
Johnson won more than 1,000 blue ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair and other regional baking contests. Her baking expertise combined with her larger-than-life personality — much larger than her 4’9″ stature — earned her national acclaim, including regular appearances on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”

The home’s décor and architectural details that have remained remarkably intact, noted the real estate listing by Keller Williams Realty Integrity.
“For those who appreciate the design and craftsmanship of the 1960s, this home offers a rare opportunity to experience that character exactly as it was intended,” the listing read.
Listed for $665,000, the two-story home includes six bedrooms and four bathrooms with a private master suite. It features a three-season sunroom overlooking the lake.
Johnson designed the countertops and a low desk in the kitchen to accommodate her height.
A walkout lower level includes an indoor 32-by-14-foot cement pool with “endless potential for recreation and entertaining.”
