Police Respond to ‘Large Disturbance’ at Park Center-Cooper Football Game
Brooklyn Park police said they responded to several fights that escalated into a “large disturbance” Friday night at Park Center High School.
Park Center was playing host to Cooper in football when the reported fights broke out in the school parking lot at about 8:30 p.m., police said. CCX Sports was covering the football game at the time.
In a news release, police said Brooklyn Park officers were already working security at the game when they responded.
Police said they gave multiple orders for the people involved to disperse before officers made two arrests. A spokesperson for Osseo Area Schools stated that police said the two arrested were juveniles and not Park Center students.
A large police presence remained at the school for about an hour after the initial response.
No injuries were reported, police said.
This story was updated to include new information from Osseo Area Schools via police about the people arrested.
