Pedestrian Killed in Plymouth Crash ID’d
The Minnesota State Patrol identified on Tuesday a pedestrian struck and killed by a car in Plymouth.
The crash happened just after 5:30 a.m. Monday on westbound Highway 55 near Revere Lane.
According to the State Patrol, the pedestrian killed was Gerald Johnson, 83, of Minatare, Neb.
Johnson was struck by a Ford Mustang driven by a 48-year-old Elk River man.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are unclear.
The State Patrol said the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Alcohol was not a factor, the patrol said.
Highway 55 was closed for about two hours following the crash, while the patrol investigated.
