Newsmakers: League of Women Voters Offers Background on Local Candidates

There’s plenty of research out there on federal races, but what about local ones?

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan nonprofit, is one place to turn, offering background on local candidates.

“It’s important for voters to know where those candidates stand on the issues,” said Amy Perna, executive director with the League of Women Voters of Minnesota, in a CCX Newsmakers segment with Dave Kiser.

The League of Women hosts candidate forums with local races streamed on CCX Media.

It also offers candidate and voter information at Vote411.org.
