Hockey Day Minnesota 2028 Logo Unveiled in Maple Grove

The 2028 celebration of all things hockey may be a year and a half out, but it now has an official logo.

The staff from Experience Maple Grove unveiled the new Hockey Day Minnesota logo during a recent event at Rush Creek Golf Club.

“I think it’s fantastic that we got that logo out there,” said Jim Koltes, Maple Grove Senior High girls hockey coach. “You know, you get some excitement in the community. I know it’s still a year and a half away from here, but yeah, it’s awesome.”

Staff from Experience Maple Grove joined Mayor Mark Steffenson and Minnesota Wild broadcaster Kevin Gorg to unveil the Hockey Day Minnesota 2028 logo on Aug. 25, 2026 at Rush Creek Golf Club.

Merchandise emblazoned with the new logo gave attendees a chance to show off their Maple Grove pride.

“This is going to be all about Maple Grove and what Maple Grove offers, and it’s going to be a great day for a lot of kids and families of Maple Grove people that have invested a lot of time in the hockey community,” said Todd Bergland, Maple Grove Senior High boys hockey coach.

Hockey Day Minnesota will offer a slew of games at Maple Grove’s Central Park. It’s scheduled for January 2028.
