Drug Task Force Seizes Nearly 60 Pounds of Meth in Golden Valley

An investigation by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office West Metro Drug Task Force led to the seizure of nearly 60 pounds of methamphetamine. 

According to a social media post by the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, the task force recently executed a search warrant at a Golden Valley apartment. 

During the search of the property, investigators found 59.6 pounds of meth, nearly two pounds of cocaine, $16,976 in cash and digital scales.

Officers arrested a 44-year-old man following the search. 

According to the sheriff’s office, the male suspect faces two felony counts of first-degree aggravated controlled substance crimes.

“This significant seizure represents dangerous drugs taken off the street,” the office wrote in the social media post. “We’re proud of the investigative work of our West Metro Drug Task Force and their continued efforts to disrupt drug trafficking and keep our communities safe.”

The task force includes officers from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office and other local police departments across the county.
