Crystal Approves Contract for Twin Oaks Park Upgrades
One of Crystal city’s parks will receive significant improvements this summer.
Twin Oaks Park is slated to have upgrades totaling nearly $640,000.
Those improvements include a new playground and a new picnic shelter.
On Tuesday, the Crystal City Council approved a contract for concrete work and paved trail improvements at the park. The council approved a contract with Odesa II, the company that submitted the lowest cost estimate among 11 bidders for the project. Odesa II is the same company that renovated Crystal’s Broadway Park two years ago, officials said.
The city has budgeted $425,000 for the entire project with a combination of federal and Hennepin County funds paying for the rest.
Construction will take place this summer.
