Brooklyn Park Police Investigate ‘Home Invasion’ Robbery
Brooklyn Park police are investigating a home invasion-style robbery that occurred Wednesday night in the northern part of the city.
Police say three armed men, all wearing masks, entered a home in the 10000 block of Scott Ave. N. shortly before 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
A 911 caller told police that the men got in through an open door and took property.
Police tell CCX News that they believe the home was likely targeted and not a random crime.
“We do believe the victim knew the suspects,” said Brooklyn Park police Inspector Elliot Faust.
No one was injured in the incident.
Brooklyn Park police officers established a perimeter around the area and received assistance from a State Patrol helicopter, a drone and a police K9 unit. The robbers, however, were not located.
Police continued to investigate the incident Thursday.
