$12,500 Reward Offered To Solve Rebecca Nelson Cold Case
The Maple Grove Police Department is asking the community to help solve a case that’s been cold for 22 years.
Rebecca Nelson was killed in a hit-and-run near the Maple Grove Community Center on Feb. 20, 2003.
She was dropping her son off at a hockey game when she was struck by a vehicle. She died from her injuries that night.
Maple Grove police are still searching for a suspect.
Her family and friends are offering $12,500 reward for information that leads to closing the case.

Cmdr. Jon Wetternach of the Maple Grove Police Department says the department wants to help bring some closure to her family.
“We’re looking for somebody who might have known something back in 2003 but chose not to say something that would be willing to come forward today and provide us with information to help bring this case to a close,” he said.
Anyone with information can contact Maple Grove Police Detective Dominic Wareham at 763-494-6196.
