Thank You for Voting Walk and Book Discussion

 The walk will begin at Robbinsdale City Hall or New Hope City Hall. Walkers choose where to start. Each group, led by a League member, will walk along 42nd Avenue, meeting in Crystal at Almsted’s Market at the corner of Douglas and 42nd. This is a nonpartisan peaceful event.  The New Hope Area LWV will be tabling at Almsted’s from 8-10 a.m. offering to register people to vote and share information about voting rights. Stop by to learn more about League of Women Voters and our work to energize and mobilize voters.

In the afternoon engage with community members in a discussion about the book “Thank you for Voting, the Maddening, Enlightening, Inspiring Truth About Voting in America” by Erin Geiger Smith. League member, Leah Parker, will lead the discussion at Rockford Road Library from 12:30-2:00 p.m. in the Library Meeting Room.  The public is welcome to join in on the walk and the discussion.
