Explore Creative Storytelling with the Video Kaleidoscope Workshop at CCX Create

Do you have a story to tell, an idea to explore, or a creative vision you’d like to bring to life through video?

CCX Create is excited to offer the Video Kaleidoscope Workshop, a free, hands-on program designed to help community members discover new ways of expressing themselves through documentary filmmaking, video art, music, poetry, and personal storytelling.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of documentary videography, including camera operation, recording sound, and editing video. Along the way, they’ll explore creative techniques such as experimental camerawork, digital effects, computer graphics, and building soundtracks using music, narration, and poetry.

The workshop combines lecture demonstrations with hands-on instruction and individualized feedback, giving participants the opportunity to develop and produce an original short video project that reflects their unique perspective and experiences.

Over the course of four evening sessions, participants will:

• Learn documentary shooting and editing techniques
• Experiment with video art and creative visual storytelling
• Create original soundtracks using music, narration, and poetry
• Receive feedback and guidance on their projects
• Check out cameras and production equipment to continue filming between sessions
• Produce a short video that may be featured on the CCX Community Channel

Whether you’re an aspiring filmmaker, artist, storyteller, or simply someone interested in exploring a new creative medium, this workshop offers an opportunity to learn new skills and connect with others who are passionate about community storytelling.

Project completion timelines will remain flexible, allowing participants to continue refining their work after the scheduled sessions conclude.

Cost and Registration
The Video Kaleidoscope Workshop is free of charge and open to the first 10 participants who register.
