Mayor’s Minutes: Plymouth’s Jeff Wosje
Plymouth Mayor Jeff Wosje spoke recently with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser about a slate of summertime events coming up.
Firefighter Recruitment
Plymouth Fire-Rescue continues its campaign to recruit more paid on-call firefighters.
“(The positions are) set up to be for people who have full-time jobs, who have kids,” said Wosje. “So, the qualifications are you have to be 18, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and live within eight minutes of one of the fire stations.”
The recruitment meetings are Thursday, June 5 and Thursday, June 12 at Plymouth Fire Station 2.
“We encourage the spouses to come because they need to be informed their other spouse wants to be a firefighter, too,” said Wosje.
