Mayor’s Minutes: Golden Valley’s Roslyn Harmon
Golden Valley Mayor Roslyn Harmon spoke recently with CCX Media’s Dave Kiser about a series of public input sessions about public safety and about this year’s city tree sale.
Mayor Harmon spoke about the city’s recent collaborative response initiatives, which include a series of public input sessions about various policies, techniques, and even equipment used by law enforcement.
“This is an opportunity for community to be engaged as we figure out how to do more in terms of answering to the call, in terms of mental health, homelessness, those types of things,” said Mayor Harmon. “We really want public input in improving public safety, police in particular in coming up with some initiatives, some ideas, to help support those things.”
The city is holding a series of these public input sessions this winter and spring to better address how it can respond to public safety needs in the community.
The City of Golden Valley will also once again partner with Tree Trust for its annual tree sale.
The lottery-based sale is holding registration open until February 23.
