Brooklyn Boulevard Redevelopment Effort Has One More Public Open House on August 8
Residents and business owners in Brooklyn Park have one more chance to weigh in on options for redevelopment along sections of the busy Brooklyn Boulevard corridor coming up on Saturday, August 8.
The city has hosted a series of open houses most of the year at a variety of events and locations.
“It’s been going really well,” said City of Brooklyn Park Senior Planner Cara Donovan. “We worked through recommendations on development, transportation, parks, placemaking, small business support, urban design, and public safety. We had over 40 people come to those events and provide their feedback. Folks were telling us they support a variety of housing options, that they support new and expanded open spaces, and that there were some new public safety issues we were supporting with the plan, so it was really fruitful.”
The event on August 8 is in conjunction with the city’s Summer at the Plaza events, which showcase the Small Business Center at Northwind Plaza.
