New girls hockey co-op set for season
It will take some getting used to the new color scheme and logos, and playing games and practicing in two home arenas.

The players in the Champlin Park/Coon Rapids girls hockey co-op say things are going pretty well so far as they adjust to teaming up.

Low numbers led Coon Rapids to pair with Spring Lake Park for the past couple of seasons, but school officials there wanted to pair with another Anoka-Hennepin school.

Home games and practices will be split between the Champlin Ice Forum and Coon Rapids Ice Center this season. Champlin Park/Coon Rapids opens the season Tuesday night at Burnsville.
