Champlin Park's Wright named Mr. Basketball
It was certainly a weekend of highs and lows for McKinley Wright of Champlin Park. His Rebels came into the state Class AAAA championship game without a loss, but lost a good battle with Apple Valley and had to settle for second place for the second time in three seasons.

Earlier Saturday, Wright found out that his future college coach at Dayton, Archie Miller, had accepted the head coaching job at Indiana. He also learned of his Mr. Basketball award over the weekend.

Wright says he's proud of what he and his teammates accomplished despite the loss, and will have a decision to make in the upcoming days about his college future.
