Armstrong girls, Champlin Park boys win NWSC Nordic titles
Though the sun came out, there was a chill in the air at Wirth Park Wednesday to remind local racers that it is still Nordic ski season.

Defending state girls team champion Armstrong showed why its a strong contender again this season at the Northwest Suburban Conference championships. The Falcons took four of the top five places, including a win by senior Dottie Anderson, to easily take the team title.

The Champlin Park boys were very impressive as well. The Rebels, led by runnerup Ian Ivens, placed three in the top 10 and five in the top 12 to beat Armstrong for the team title.

Armstrong competes at the Section 6 meet Wednesday, Feb. 8, at Hyland in Bloomington. Champlin Park is among the teams competing at the Section 5 meet, also Feb. 8, at Wirth Park.
