Wayzata girls ready for state soccer
They got past a very tough test in section play by beating Minneapolis Washburn, and now the Wayzata girls soccer team is aiming for a state title.

The Trojans, who have overcome the loss to injury of key players Marissa Kalkar and Addison Clark, enter the state tournament with a 15-0-3 record. That earned them the No. 1 seed.

Wayzata meets St. Michael-Albertville in the quarterfinals Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at St. Cloud State University.

You can see tape-delayed coverage of the Wayzata-STMA game on CCX Channels 12 and 799 and at CCXMedia.org Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.
