Armstrong crushes Hopkins in football
The Armstrong football team built a big first-half lead over Spring Lake Park in the second game of the season, then had to hold on for a 27-24 win.
There was no such dram in week three.
The Falcons scored on 95-yard and 76-yard passing plays in the first quarter to stun Hopkins, then scored ten more points in the second quarter to lead 24-0 at halftime.
The Falcons played it more conservative in the second half and had a comfortable 31-6 win to show for it.
Armstrong improved to 2-1 after a season-opening loss to Chanhassen.
