If you can’t find something to buy at the Brooklyn United Methodist Church
Mega Sale, then you just aren’t trying. The mammoth sale includes items in the parking lot, in the little white house, and fills almost the entire church. Money generated from the sale goes to help local Boy Scouts, Avenues for Homeless Youth and youth mission trips at the church.
"We never know what we are going to have," says organizer Wendell Garnhart, who oversees the sale and the year-long effort to load up items from estate sales and donations around the metro. "We have a little bit of everything."
The sale opens Wednesday, June 14, at 5 p.m. and continues on Thursday and Friday until closing on Saturday at noon.
